We enter the body as if it were the entrails of a camera: to observe very closely how the images that constantly struggle to emerge from it are revealed.

They return and stir between mediums, exorcisms and ectoplasm, the ghostly gestures of a body that constantly threaten to bring others to light. Ghost box aims to approach some forms of “portrait of convulsion” that share a common heritage of suspicion towards the possibility of the (mainly female) body giving way to other matters. From the girl’s vomit in The Exorcist to the arches portrayed in La Salpêtrière, we witness the dynamic vocabulary of a body “outside itself” that unfolds in parallel both in recording devices and in theatrical devices.
